Over the year on my videos one opinion has stood out. Im using a crappy phono Cartridge. So I shopped eBay looking for a vintage Cartridge that I could still use a 78 RPM stylus on. Results for my efforts were a 12 $ Stanton 600 and a Pickering XV stylus. The out put voltage on the Cartridge was so high that I had to redesign the Mark 7 to handle the additional signal. So as anyway leaves comment and suggestions on another Cartridge I can try. Thank you PS You may notice a Nickel screwed into the Stanton headshell. I was using Hi FI test tone record and the stylus would become unstable at 13000, 4000 and 1000 Hz, and once it even jumped out the groove. The whole tone arm would vibrate so I went to the internet. The Key word was compliance. I have a heavy built like a Studebaker Stanton 600 and the modern light tone arm of my Gemini Turntable. That equals unwanted frequency feedback between the two. So one nickel later the two seem to get along splendidly.
